Siwa Museum (Al-Bayt Al-Siwi)

The Siwa Museum, also known as “Al-Bayt Al-Siwi” (The Siwan House), is an ethnographic heritage museum located in the heart of Siwa Oasis, Egypt. It was inaugurated in December 1990 with the aim of documenting and preserving the unique customs, traditions, and lifestyle of the Siwan people.

Gabal Al-Dakrur
(known in Siwi Berber as "Adrar Mebrik")

Is one of the most important natural and historical landmarks in Siwa Oasis, It is also known as the “Red Mountain” or “Mountain of Light” due to the colour of its rocks and the heat of its sands.  

1- Tourism Festival

An annual celebration is held on the mountain in October after the date and olive harvest season, lasting three days. This tradition dates back to the mid-19th.

2- Therapeutic Tourism (Sand Burial)

Gabal Al-Dakrur is internationally famous for hot sand therapy, with visitors coming from mid-June to the end of September.

The Temple of Umm Ubayda

Is located approximately 200 meters from the more famous Temple of the Oracle (Temple of Alexander the Great). It was built during the reign of Pharaoh Nectanebo II (30th Dynasty, c. 360–342 BC). The Temple of Umm Ubayda is a small but historically significant pharaonic temple dating back to the 30th Dynasty. Most of it has now been destroyed, with only one wall remaining, painted with reliefs, a testament to its former grandeur. Only one wall remains, adorned with hieroglyphic inscriptions and vibrantly colored reliefs depicting Egyptian gods and warriors. The original colors are still visible.
