The Story of Neama Siwa
A Journey of Passion, Heritage, and Resilience
Our story began in 1998, during a summer vacation with my wife on the beautiful Mediterranean shores of Marsa Matrouh. It was there that we heard tales of Siwa Oasis, tucked away 305 km south in the heart of the Western Desert. Driven by curiosity, we traveled to the oasis and were instantly captivated by its breathtaking beauty. We fell in love with its untouched nature and decided then and there to invest in this pristine land, far from the reach of modern pollution.
Our vision took root when I discovered the ruins of an ancient Amazigh house, surrounded by a forgotten orchard in the heart of Siwa. It wasn’t just a plot of land; it was a vision to breathe life back into forgotten beauty. Together with my wife, and fueled by pure family passion, we began the journey of restoration—reclaiming the land, reviving the garden, and building a sanctuary that combines the warmth of a home with the heritage of the land.

Siwa Oasis is a Hidden Gem in The Heart of the Western Desert of Egypt
In the year 2000, we established a traditional olive oil press. We named the project ‘Neama’—a tribute to my beloved mother, and a word signifying the ‘Blessings’ and abundance of the high-quality olives this land provides. However, due to the economic and political shifts surrounding the January 25th Revolution in 2011 and our involvement in political life, the press was eventually closed. But the dream never stopped. In 2025, we expanded our roots by establishing a state-of-the-art cold storage facility to preserve the world-renowned Siwan dates—the oasis’s most precious harvest.
